Here we go again with another PS3 to PSP DLC post and is something those who played and/or owned the Big Brother Edition of LittleBIGPlanet are familiar with. As with all Theme Packs, you can expect to get the same features from stickers, objects, costumes, backgrounds and music in the latest Big Bro to Little Bro conversion. While the Theme Pack will cost you some dough, the single The Temples Costume will be available to download for FREE.

Eric Lempel, Director of Playstation Network Operations gives us a preview of what Firmware 3.0 for the Playstation 3 Entertainment Gaming Console. In the preview, he goes on to say that developers have the ability to use dynamic themes. All I gotta say its cool and a really cute LBP theme =]. Little–BIG–CONSOLE SELLER!

Associate Producer, Eric Fong, spoke to GameIndustry.biz and made it crystal clear that Sony is expecting LittleBIGPlanet to move units when released this Fall.

Eric says:

“It’s going to be a hardware seller. Not only do you have the platforming experience that a lot of other games will have, you have this creativity that really is exclusive to LittleBigPlanet,”

With sequals to flood store shelves this Fall and might put a cloud over this new IP from Sony and Media Molecule, you might think they should wait to release the game at a better timeframe. Eric thinks that their targeted audience is generally everyone which sets up for his next statement.

Eric says:

“It’s got enough complexity that people can play it and enjoy it for many hours; at the same time, if you’re just a casual user you can run through and play the game and have fun with it. Everything you see in the developer levels, you can create as the player.”

Alex Evans Helps Out Sony with their Keynote!!

Alex Evans whipped up a little demo of what Playstation statistics and future plans for the Playstation Nation. Later this year they plan on distributing Playstation 3s in Latin America as another way to expand their brand. The really cool thing with LittleBIGPlanet was that the game helped Jack Trenton present Playstation Statitics with bar graphs and NO it isn’t some cheap looking Excel look. They took it to another level and away from the boring Excel bar graph with the unique LBP style. Along with using the game for their statistical data, Jack OFFICIALLY announced Greatest Hits for the Playstation 3 for $29.99, games will be listed below. MORE TO COME !

2.41 is Live! and Why 2.40 caused some PS3 users trouble

Last night firmware 2.41 for the Sony Playstation 3 was launched on their update servers to the delight of the people who wasn’t fast enough to grab the 2.40 update last Tuesday(PST) night. Some of you probably wanted to download the taken down 2.40 to be rebels and see if it would “brick” your PS3.The reason why it caused a select few to have non-existant XMB problems was because of a ” system administrative data.” Why did this happen? Well after updating to firmware 2.40, a few PS3s could not activate after updating to last weeks latest firmware from Sony. Don’t worry, 2.41 does not do what 2.40 did and it is safe for all of you that did not get a chance to download it can now do so worry free. For those that got caught up in the fiasco, you need to contact Customer Services and a replacement PS3 will be sent.

PS3 Firmware 2.40 Now Available!

For all of you that did not download the latest update for the Playstation 3, Go turn your PS3 on NOW and get it! I predicted on various message boards that this update would be released Tuesday night (PST) and it is now true. if you do not know what comes in the latest update i’ll give you the main ones.

• InGameXMB
• InGame Messaging (Read/Reply)
• Music (Requires Patches for most games)

I will post more of the features as I find exactly what is in it than what was learned June 30th, 2008 after the Jump.
