LittleBigBang : The Evolution Of LittleBigPlanet from Media Molecule on Vimeo.

Here is a video which gives some insight into how Little Big Planet ( and Media Molecule! ) evolved from next to nothing into what it is today! This was generated from our source control repository using a awesome tool called codeswarm. Each dot represents a different file, and they “swarm” towards the user who edits them. So not only do you get to watch files move around, you can see when various members of the team joined ( roughly! ).

Super LittleBIGMario Bros.

Over the past few days, weeks, and months there has been this hype for this games create feature for your imagitive minds. You knew it was bound to happen with this level remake, LBP style. As some did not expect Sacketeers to create this Super Mario Bros. 1-1 level, some of us did. Throughout the message boards to lurk around in that was the number one thing on Sacketeers minds. Super Mario Bros. was one of the pioneers for this genre, but LittleBIGPlanet redefined platforming. Video after the jump!

Let Teh Beta Begin!, FIGHT! [EURO] VOL.1

Eurogamer is reporting that the LittleBIGPlanet beta will begin tomorrow, yeah it’s kinda random for tomorrow as these new videos and information has been coming out the past couple days. There are 5800 codes up for grab and you can be one of the lucky few. Of course it’s a first come, first come deal but hey you can’t say you didn’t try. The beta will go through September 24 to October 12th, 2008 and during that time you can Play. Create. and Share for those couple weeks. Since this is being given out by Eurogamer, I would assume these are for gamers in that region. Don’t sweat it, an North America and other region should be announced soon.

LittleBIGPlanet: No 4 Player Co-Op, Just not yet

Remember when you first heard about LittleBIGPlanet having four player co-op and you can run around with your friends having fun? Well do you also remember when it was announced that with your four friends you are able to create level online? Well that has been scrapped till the first major update which I hope is released quickly after launch. Don’t worry, you will still be able to create with four friends offline if you wanted to. More after the jump!

LittleBIGDate Confirmed – NA & UK

LittleBIGPlanet North America Cover

So it’s been reported that Japan and Europe will have a release date of October 29th (Euro) and 30th (Jap) 2008. The United Kingdom will be getting their copies of the game on October 24th, 2008. Is this a new date for Europe? Or is it just specificly for the U.K? For five full days you gamers in the U.K will have it in your hands before the rest of Europe. For the people on the Left side, PS3F reports that North America will be getting the game on the rumored and highly covered October 21st, 2008 release date. If that isn’t a good co-sign then what else could it be? A SackBoy/Girl Plush doll? Yeah you know you want it.

EDIT: Changed title from US to NA. People above the U.S won’t panic now ? :) Also this N4G news thought !:)
